Origin and Development History

Adidas was founded in 1949 by German Adolf ‘Adi’ Dassler. In his early years, he focused on studying how sports shoes could enhance athletic performance and in the same year registered the iconic three-stripe logo.
At the 1954 World Cup, the German team wore Adidas cleats to victory, catapulting the brand to fame.

From the 1970s to the 1990s, Adidas continuously expanded its product line, launching classics like the Superstar, Stan Smith, and Samba, while collaborating with top athletes around the world.
After 2000, Adidas centered on combining technology and fashion, introducing Boost cushioning technology and collaborating with street culture, celebrities, and designers, turning the brand into a symbol of both sports and street culture.

Today, Adidas has grown into one of the world’s leading sports brands, upholding innovation, performance, and style at its core, providing equipment for various sports and lifestyles.

Founder of the German sportswear company Adidas
Adolf ‘Adi’ Dassler, the founder of the German sportswear company Adidas, was born on November 3, 1900, in Herzogenaurach, Germany, and died in 1978. Dassler began making sports shoes by hand in 1920 and founded the Adidas brand in 1948. His company became famous for designing the world’s first ice skates, the first screw-in stud shoes, and the first molded rubber football boots. Dassler also held over 700 patents, driving the design and innovation of sports shoes.

Their main responsibilities include:
Sports performance research
Analyzing the forces and pressure distribution during running, jumping, turning, and other movements to ensure products improve athletic efficiency and reduce the risk of injury.
